VeRUS for Veterans community event

• V4V’s main goal with this community event is to promote local businesses, while bringing awareness to Wounded Veterans/1st Responders and Veterans with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Funds that are raised will be given to Hero Dogs, a Maryland 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that raises and trains service dogs and places them free of charge with our nation’s Veterans to improve quality of life and restore independence.
• VéRUS for Veterans is a family-focused organization, so all ages are encouraged to attend! This event is also canine friendly!!! Local businesses will be spread throughout, all which support this great cause. There will be guest speakers and family activities for all ages. Make sure you take a chance at the silent auction where 100% of the proceeds will go towards the cause. Support the community by visiting the local business vendors’ booths. Sit back and relax while watching Team VeRUS and their fun filled freestyle dog competition or the K9 Weight Pulling just outside of the exhibition hall. You won’t want to miss K9 nose work, dazzling the crowd with their fun scent and search activity, or the mini training session shown by one of our wonderful service dog trainers. For those bringing their canine companions make sure you enter our canine costume contest, and put your pup in his/her best attire!!  Get creative at the arts and crafts station with the kids to make a holiday card or letter of support for our military members abroad or Veterans brought home. Doll up your kiddos with our face painter. Don’t forget to bring any food, hygiene products, entertainment and handmade items to add to our care packs being sent to Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that are deployed overseas. Purple Heart will also be available to donate gently used items.

Discounted Tickets available until October 31st, 2016. (Tickets at the door will be $5 per person, $10 per family. Military/Police/1st Responders are free)
